PROJECT GOAL
As a teenaged girl, with South African roots, I was shocked to learn that an estimated 30% of girls in Africa miss school due to inadequate access to period supplies. I can't imagine having to miss a quarter of my classes as I am sure my grades would slip. I started this project in 2023 to join the fight against period poverty and play a small role in empowering girls to meet their full potential.
The goals of the project are as follows:

-
Fully funding a free pad-vending machine in an underpriviledged school in South Africa for two years.
-
Hosting events to support girls in these underpriveledged communities. We hosted our first event on 18 October for 166 teenaged girls. We hope to continue with these events.
-
To maximise success, we needed to partner with organisations to provide day to day assistance on the ground in South Africa.

The success of this project would not be possible without the help of the following organisations in South Africa: The Olivia Sieff Foundation which has worked tirelessly to coordinate partneships and events in South Africa; The MENstruation foundation who created the token driven machines; The Clicks Helping Hand Foundation for your generous donations of products at our events.
The real thanks goes to my donors, whose contributions make the meaninful difference in the lives of these girls, thank you so much!
