SPONSORING AN IN-SCHOOL FREE PAD DISPENSER (3 years)

Since 2023, The EmpowerHer Project has raised over $6000. ZAR50,000.00 is going to The MENstruation Foundation to sponsor a refurbished pad dispensing machine in a school in South Africa. Girls are given a token to obtain their free monthly supplies. Our machine will be in service in 2026. We have raized sufficient funding for 2026 and 2027 but are still funding for the 3rd years supply. We estimate that 200 girls will benefit each month (about 1600 pads). â€‹

THE MENSTRUATION FOUNDATION - Their token driven pad dispensers are placed in schools in impoverished areas of South Africa. The machines are sponsored by organisations such as ours. They also establishment a manufacturing facility which produces 8 packs of pads for under 50c a 8-pack!!

EDUCATIONAL EVENTS & PRODUCTS FOR SCHOLARS

On October 18, 2025, EmpowerHer hosted an event at Fisantekrall in Cape Town for 166 girls. The goal was to provide education, fun events and supplies of period panties and a pack of sanitary towels.  We ran this event with the help of the Olivia Sieff Foundation and products were kindly donated by The Clicks Helping Hand Trust in partnership with the MENstruation Foundation.

THE OLIVIA SIEFF FOUNDATION - Established by Olivia’s family as a legacy to the memory of their teenaged daughter, Olivia, to helps abused and neglected children, in South Africa. Olivia's family and friends have been instrumental in helping our project on the ground for us in South Africa.
